Motivation
I have been listening to a lot of goalcast podcasts/viewing their videos and I am getting increasingly motivated. It is a great tool for those looking for a pick me up at work, before a workout, etc. You need to find what is motivating to you and what area of life you would like to be motivated in. What is your end goal that you are working towards?
I am continuing to find motivation to power through the more difficult tasks and day-to-day tasks.
Goalcast take aways:
Mindset- your mind is the most powerful tool that you have, and if you utilize it properly it will power you and uplift you. Positivity is contagious and it will boost you.
Find your own way- No one else can or should chose your path for you. You need to do what you must to reach the destination that you have set in your mind.
Discipline- rituals, daily grind, mental toughness. Discipline of the mind, spirit, and body will create lasting success. Discipline insures that you stay on track and you accomplish what you set out to do every day.
Goals (end of day, start of day)- again back to mentality. Write down your goals every day. Keep them on your mind. Keep your mind on the process. Always have the end goal in your mind's eye.
Visualize- place yourself succeeding in your head and constantly hold those thoughts, feelings, that action plan in your mind. Mentally set yourself up for success every day.
Meditate- think on the process. What it means, what it takes, how it looks, how it feels to succeed. Where you will be, what your life will be like, and so on. Think out all of the on-goings in your head.
Self talk- develop a mantra for yourself. Positive self talk. Talking to yourself as if success is inevitable but failure is impossible. Build yourself in your mind. Repeat your positive mantra over and over in your mind until your mindset takes hold. "I am confident, I will succeed, nothing can stop me, I am powerful beyond measure, I am creative, etc." Try to make your statements short and powerful. For football we had to develop a mantra. Mine was "I am strong, I am powerful, I am the best". Sets your mind right before a football game. Use yours to set you up in life.
Finish what you start- see things through. Finish projects. Do not start working towards a goal and give up after the initial excitement has fallen off. Finish task after task after task. Will yourself to get through your To Do list.
